Erika Brown, PhD (she/her) is a Program Lead at the American Physical Society (APS), partnering with faculty, students and other physics professionals to advance diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) within the physical science community. In her time at APS Brown has led a portfolio of diversity-focused programs, including APS-IDEA, the APS Bridge Program, the National Mentoring Community (NMC) and the Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP). In her current role, Dr. Brown serves as the Alliance Director for the IGEN Alliance and Program Director for the APS Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Alliance (APS-IDEA). Dr. Brown is a proud alumna of the all-women’s HBCU, Spelman College, and earned her M.S and Ph.D. in Psychology, from Brown University
